February 2025 Butter Babe: Tracie McCranie

Tracie McCranie has the biggest heart and is a big advocate for giving back to the next generation. She is always investing in those in education and passing on her wisdom. She fits this year’s Butter Babe theme of being a Doer and Generous to a T! Take a moment to get to know Tracie in this blog!

  1. What is your best virtue?
I think that would be “dependable” or “Integrity.” If I say I will be there or I will do it, I will be there and do it 100%! And, I’m going to do the right thing, even when no one else is looking, that’s having integrity!

  2. How would you describe your perfect day?
My perfect day would be to just be at my home, surrounded with my dogs, not doing ANY work from home, cooking, cleaning, etc.! Just hanging with my 6 dogs! Boring to some but relaxing for me!

  3. What is something about you that sounds made up, but is 100% true?
I am a 19-time World Champion in Martial Arts. I’ve been training in taekwondo for 15 years! I started at age 48 and I’m 63 now! I also used to skydive and ride the mechanical bull just for fun in my younger days!

  4. What is something you have always dreamed of doing?
I have always wanted to be in the Olympics! I watched on tv as a little girl and always thought how cool it would be to be able to compete in the Olympics!

  5. What was the last thing you read?
Your Best Life by Joel Osteen

  6. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It is a toss-up between chocolate and steak, I guess chocolate!

  7. What is your most prized possession and why?
My late Mother’s wedding ring. She gave it to me on my birthday 4 years before she passed unexpectedly last year. I wore it occasionally and kept it in my jewelry box. When she passed last year, I took it out and have worn it every day. It’s my daily reminder of her!

  8. What is the legacy you want to leave?
I want to be known as a person who loved children and animals. They cannot speak or stand up for themselves. It’s up to us to do that for them. I want to be known as the person that would always be there for anyone who needed anything.

  9. What causes are you passionate about and why?
Animal Rescue because these creatures have been given up on by humans and deserve a good life. All of my dogs are rescues and all unique in their own way. I will always have rescues and give them their best life!

  10. What do you do when you experience a failure?
I get back up and keep going! I always say “fall down 7 times, get up 8!”

  11. What is the best gift you have ever received and why?
I think one of the best gifts I ever received was a motorcycle from my husband and kids! I was very surprised when they rolled it out for me right in the middle of my living room!! I was 100% surprised and shocked!! So fun!
