Maggie and her husband Jared own Mitchell Animal Clinic and they were my neighbors at Reney’s Honey Butter for our first 2-3 years in business at The Cottage! They both became regular customers at Reney’s and easily became friends as we shared life and business side by side! Maggie is caring and kind and loves those around her so well. What is your best virtue?
My best virtue is loyalty. I am dependable, trustworthy and committed to the people and things that matter most to me. I standby my principles regardless of the situation or what others may think. What is your favorite song at the moment ?
My favorite song at the moment is Stargazing by Myles Smith. Its a folk-pop song that was inspired by Myles and his friends watching the sunset and realizing sometimes we fall in love with people that have always been by your side as a friend. What inspires you?
The sunrise inspires me. There is something special about the stillness of the morning, the colors that paint the sky and the feeling of a fresh new day that can be used to literally do anything. How would you describe your perfect day?
My perfect day would start shortly before sunrise with my husband and my 2 daughters launching our kayaks from a quiet crystal-clear river to watch the sunrise and the wildlife come alive starting their day. Paddle down the river a little further before coming back to a launch site to eat a smoothie bowl for breakfast. Then head to the beach to relax, read, and listen to my favorite podcasts with a picnic lunch. As evening approaches, walking the shoreline to watch the sunset hand in hand with my husband, with all the glowing colors present in the sky. Ending the day with dinner at a cozy and quaint restaurant enjoying the ocean breeze and watching the stars twinkle. What was the last thing you read?
The Power of Appreciation - The Key to a Vibrant Life by Noelle C Nelson, Ph.D and Jeannie Lemare Calaba, Psy. D. Its based on a 5-step approach to developing an appreciative mindset. It includes tips for healthier and happy life. What do you do when you experience a failure?
When I experience failure, I stop and look and what happened - what went right and what didn’t. I try to learn from the items that went wrong and see how to approach it differently the next time. Failure isn't the opposite of success, it's part of it.
