What is your favorite song at the moment?
My favorite song at the moment is There Was Jesus by Zach Williams and Dolly Parton. Gosh it's so good, I highly recommend it.
What is a secret ambition of yours?
My secret ambition would have to be that I would love to be known for writing children's picture books.
How would you describe your perfect day?
My perfect day would be waking up at the beach, drinking a good cup of coffee as the sun comes up and then spending the day with my family on the beach. It's literally my favorite place to be.
What is the legacy you want to leave?
The legacy I would want to leave is with my children. I pray that I've shown them the love of the Lord, how to shine their light and to always be kind. I know that I was put on this earth to be a Mom and I thank God for trusting me with them.
What causes are you passionate about? Why?
I'm passionate about bringing awareness to childhood cancer, specifically trying to find a cure for DIPG (Diffuse midline glioma). My good friend Brooke’s daughter, Aubreigh, lost her battle to DIPG in 2018. Since then, her and her husband have started the Aubreigh's Army Foundation 328, Inc. The foundation is committed to providing funding to help find a Cure for DIPG and to help newly diagnosed families indirectly with travel, expenses, hospital stays, bills, or wherever our help is needed. I'm a part of the committee for the Lemon Face Gala that is held each March to raise money for the cause. It's one of my greatest joys to be working alongside each person committed to finding a cure. What do you do when you experience a failure?
When I experience a failure, I pray, I ask the Lord for guidance and trust that He knows what's best for me and wants good for me. Throughout my life I've trusted Him even when it's hard and I'm so thankful for the love and grace he shows me daily.
What is the best gift you have ever received and why?
The best gift I've ever received is the gift of my children. Being their mother is my calling. I prayed that I would get to experience that kind of love and if I can be half the mom that my mom has been to me and my brothers then I am a blessed woman.
