December 2022 Butter Babe: Stacey Vargas

Stacey Vargas is the December Butter Babe! I have known Stacey my whole life as she is my Aunt! She has always been encouraging and uplifting with a smile that shines for miles! Stacey has a huge heart for the Lord, her family, animals and littles! One thing that I always remember about her is her love for Winnie the Pooh and Stacey loves, includes and is a true friend just like Pooh! Take a moment to read her answers and enjoy hearing from another amazing woman.

1. What is the best way to start your day?

The best way I have found to start my day is to practice gratitude from the moment you open your eyes. If you begin your day with being thankful for your sleep and for having another day to be alive, it will truly help your day go better! " When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive, to breathe, to think, to enjoy and to love " - Marcus Aurelius

2. What gives you hope?

What gives me hope is looking to the future expectantly and with an open mind for what God has planned. I have seen first- hand that God has a plan for my life and that He can be trusted to have my back. I recently had an experience with a good Samaritan and am so thankful to God for watching out for me in a scary situation and placing someone there to help me. Even in the tough times, which will come to us all, God is still in control and has a plan and purpose for our good!

3. What does being a Butter Babe mean to you?

It is such an honor to be the "Butter Babe " for December and I am so proud of the "Butter Queen" who is my amazing niece, Meredith! Being a Butter Babe gives us a chance to share and to inspire others. God does not want us to keep secret all the awesome things He does for us, we must share with others to encourage our community and family!

4. What is your life motto?

My life motto has always been "Kindness Matters" ! It is amazing how a small act of kindness can make a huge impact, not only on the recipient but on us as well. I have seen the most hardened, tough character be moved by an act of kindness. It cost nothing to show kindness and it can truly change your life and attitude. I encourage you today to keep your eyes open for opportunities to show kindness.

" Be kind and compassionate to one another." Ephesians 4:32

5. How would you like to be remembered?

I would like to be remembered for my kindness to others and for being a positive influence in other's lives. I have a heart for animals and support charities that speak up for those who have no voice. I have seen change happen when like-minded people decide to stand up for a cause. I know change can happen in our world and try to live my life in a positive way.

" My wish for you is that you continue to be who you are , to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness." - Maya Angelou
