When you walk into her shop, you are surrounded by smiles and gifts galore. Robin is the owner of Meggie B’s Gift Boutique, a wife, mother and genuine gift to those who know her! Robin is such an asset to her community and she invests continually in the areas of small businesses, education, healthcare and more! Take a moment to get a glimpse into who Robin is below!

1. What makes you come alive?

I feel truly alive in nature. When hiking or just being in the outdoors in general I feel closer to God & at peace. My husband & I try to take kids out west once a year and it is a dream each time we go. We completely disconnect with the world & enjoy each other.

2. What is the best way to start the day?

Waking up before my kids, (which rarely happens because they are super early risers), reading my devotional while drinking coffee, & having some quiet time before the day starts.

3.What is something you have always dreamed of doing?

My dream in my 20’s was to work somewhere where I could have my kids with me. I never wanted to have to put them in daycare 5 days a week.  My mom was a stay at home mom & I always wanted the possibility to do both. I am so blessed to have been able to have this as a reality with my girls now who are now 2 & 5. They were with me at work daily until they could walk & now I make my schedule as flexible as possible to be with them at home during slower months at the store. 

4.What advice would you give to other women who are wanting to live life well? 

Take care of yourself mentally & physically so you can be your best self for everyone depending on you. There are times of the year that I know this is just how it is, it is a season of busy. I just have to remember that this isn't how I want to live year around. I don't want to be rushed all the time, on my phone all the time, or at work all the time. After our busy seasons at the store, I try my best to make the schedule so I'm home with kids at least 3 days a week. They will only be little once & I want to be there for as much as I can while running a successful business. Its definitely all about balance.
