March 2024 Butter Babe: Brandi Gurganus
Over the last few years, Brandi has been one of Reney’s greatest supporters as she is always showing her appreciation to those in her family’s life by sending our specialty gift sets for holidays and special occasions! She is intentional about letting people know how valued they are! Brandi excels at loving people well and going above and beyond for her family. She is a treasure to all who know her and I am excited for her to join the Butter Babe crew! Take a moment to connect with Brandi through this blog!
1. What is the best way to start your day?
I like to wake up early, get ready for work, and then tip toe to the kitchen. I light a candle and enjoy my quiet coffee & breakfast before waking up the kids.
2. What is something you have overcome?
I grew up in a difficult and unsafe home, so I have made it my mission to make sure my children as well as my students feel loved , safe and valued.
Whether it is a kind word and a piece of candy to a student or making my children's favorite meal. To me it’s the little things that mean the most.
3. What gives you hope?
What gives me hope is when I make a difference in a student's life. I want all of them to know how important and special they are to me and this world.
They are our future and need compassion and understanding now more than ever. I hope they remember the kindness they received and pass it on.
4. What are you passionate about?
Growing up, we relied on the help of friends and family. It could be clothing donated by a neighbor or my grandfather sending money for groceries.
I now do my best to fulfill the needs of others, whether it's clothing for students in need or helping a student with sports fees. I want them to all have a chance to thrive. Had it not been for the compassion of teachers and friends I would not be the person I am today.
5. What is a verse that means something to you?
“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you , plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
6. What does “connection in community” look like to you?
My connection to the community started with serving with our church and through my children's school. I quickly realized when you love others unconditionally it opens doors to new opportunities and amazing friendships. I am so thankful for everyone in my life!
